What are container houses and their core advantages?

Container houses are a type of prefabricated building that takes standard shipping containers(or customized steel structure containers with the same modular design)as the basic structural unit.Through professional processing,modification,and assembly—including insulation,decoration,and installation of water,electricity,and heating systems—these industrial containers are transformed into habitable and functional buildings that can be used for residence,office,accommodation,and other scenarios.They retain the core characteristics of containers such as modularization,standardization,and portability,and are optimized for human living and practical use,becoming a representative of green and modern prefabricated architecture.

Their core advantages are concentrated in the following aspects:

Fast construction&quick commissioning

The whole set of production and processing is completed in the factory,and the on-site construction is only simple splicing,installation and supporting facility connection.Unlike traditional buildings that require complex civil engineering such as foundation pouring and bricklaying,a single container house can be put into use in a few hours,and a modular combined container building can be completed in a few days,which greatly shortens the construction period and is suitable for scenarios with urgent use needs.

High cost performance&low overall expenditure

The raw material cost of container structural units is relatively low,and the factory standardized production reduces the waste of materials and labor costs in on-site construction.At the same time,it has low requirements for the foundation(simple concrete strip foundation or steel support is sufficient),saving a lot of foundation construction costs.In the later stage,the maintenance cost is also far lower than that of traditional brick-concrete buildings,with high cost performance in the whole life cycle.
